Tofu Chocolate Mousse

Tofu is a plant-based protein derived from soybeans, offering numerous health benefits:


  • A complete protein source that provides all nine essential amino acids, making it ideal for vegans, vegetarians, and flexitarians!

  • Potentially reduces LDL (commonly known as “bad” cholesterol).

  • A great source of calcium (when set with calcium) for strong bones.

  • Contains phytoestrogens like isoflavones, which may assist in balancing hormones.


This recipe turns silken tofu into a luxurious, protein-rich, and dairy-free treat.


Tofu Chocolate Mousse


Ingredients




  • 1 cup of dark chocolate chips

  • 1 pack of silken tofu

  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder

  • 2 tbls maple syrup

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

  • A pinch of salt


 Directions


  1. Begin by melting 1 cup of dark chocolate chips. You can do this by gently warming them on the hob or microwaving in 30-second increments, stirring in between until smooth.

  2. Blend the melted chocolate with all the other ingredients until smooth and creamy.

  3. Enjoy the pudding immediately, or refrigerate it for 5–7 days. It will firm up as it chills, making it even more indulgent.
